Migrating my adventure blog here to this website. Originally posted on July 8, 2019
As I type this, it’s the middle of the afternoon on the 4th of July. It’s been a pretty nice, relaxing 4th so far. Started off the day at the skatepark, enjoying the partly cloudy weather. Got some grinds until about 11:30, then headed home for the day. The cats wanted to play outside for a bit, and they were having fun as usual, until one of them decided to paw at a wasp and was stung on the bottom of his paw.
His little paw ended up a bit swollen, but he seems to be fine other wise. We will keep an eye on him the rest of the day. Other than that, a neighborhood squirrel paid our peanut wreath a visit and grabbed a snack or two, before some fireworks scared it away. It’s nice to see the little critters are finding the snacks we leave for them.
So now I’m just relaxing here at the computer, adding songs to my iPod while writing this blog post, which is pretty much about nothing in particular. Later tonight after dinner, we’ll probably head over to the Olympia port area and watch the sun go down and see if any fireworks displays can be seen. Love these mellow mid-week holidays.
So what does the photo above, of a tangled mess of moss have to do with the 4th of July? Nothing. But it is a rambling mess of trees and ferns (at Tolmie State Park), just like this rambling post nothing in particular.
