This scene was literally 50 feet from our campsite. The evening marine layer was just starting to roll in while sunset was happening. I screwed on the 10-stop ND filter and grabbed this 4 minute exposure. We were in Oregon, we were camping, life was good. Florence is a neat little town, I’m glad I captured a small part of it.

During a camping trip to Crystal Hot Springs, we took a side trip out to the Great Salt Lake to explore the Spiral Jetty. From the parking area, I walked up the hill over looking the jetty. There was an interesting plaque up there explaining the jetty, and below is the view from that marker. The northern half of the Salt Lake was bug free, super peaceful and calming, the southern half not so much. I think the people in the frame help show the scale of the jetty and lake itself.
